Let’s figure out what’s next for your business, and make it happen.

You don’t need to arrive with a technical brief.

A lot of my work starts with someone asking, “Could we do this better?” Sometimes they have a specific idea. Sometimes they know something isn’t working and haven’t had the time, or the right person, to untangle it.

We start there. I learn how the work happens, follow the information across people and systems, and help you decide what’s worth doing. Then I build, test, and work through the details with the people who will use it.

Work

Here’s where those conversations have led.

A better way to find the next customer.

Built in my in-house role

A business development team needed a better way to find and approach prospects. I built an engine that researches companies, identifies relevant contacts, and delivers ranked outreach drafts to the team each Monday, connected to their CRM.

The team reviews and sends the messages. The system has increased outreach capacity and generated new responses and prospect meetings after years without meaningful traction from cold outreach. It continues to improve through weekly use and feedback.

Thirty years of business knowledge, ready to pass on.

Camstra & Co. client engagement

An established asphalt maintenance business was preparing for a transition, with decades of customer knowledge held by its owner and a retiring office administrator. I reconstructed customer and job histories, identified repeat-work opportunities, and built a custom CRM and application alongside financial reporting and a plan for transferring operational knowledge.

The crew is already using the application, with tools for customer follow-up and repeat business built into the system.

How we work together

  1. Understand what’s happening.

We look at the business, the people doing the work, and the information available. I ask questions, check assumptions, and help you identify where a change could make a meaningful difference.

  2. Decide what’s worth doing.

We agree on the outcome, the scope, and where to start. That might be a focused piece of work or a larger effort involving several teams and systems.

  3. Build it and put it to work.

I stay involved through implementation. We test with real work, learn from the people using it, and work through the issues that show up along the way.

Exit Ready

Thinking about who takes over next?

If you’re preparing to sell, hand the business to someone else, or step back from its daily operation, there may be a lot to sort through first.

Exit Ready starts with your records and how the business runs today. We identify what needs attention and scope the work to address it, from making customer information usable to documenting the knowledge the business depends on.

About

I’m Lizzie Camstra Hughes.

My background spans analytics, business strategy, and hands-on AI development. In my day job, I work with teams to understand company-wide problems and growth opportunities, then build solutions that can involve several departments, existing tools, and new applications.

Camstra & Co. brings that approach to work directly with business owners and teams.

I’m based on Wisconsin’s Bayfield Peninsula, where I also serve as President of the Board of the Bayfield Chamber & Visitor Bureau.

What are you working on?
